RETURNS, REFUNDS & SALES POLICY


ALL SALES FINAL

Due to the nature of our products, all sales made through Savity Season are considered final.

Savity Season specialises in vintage, archival, designer, sourced, limited-edition, and pre-loved fashion. Many items are rare, and cannot be easily replaced once sold.

By placing an order, customers acknowledge that they have reviewed all photographs, descriptions, measurements, sizing information, condition notes, and product details prior to purchase.

Returns, exchanges, cancellations, refunds, or store credits are not available simply because a customer changes their mind after purchase.


VINTAGE CONDITION DISCLAIMER

The majority of items sold by Savity Season are vintage, archival, or pre-owned and therefore may display signs of age, wear, storage, or previous ownership.

Examples may include, but are not limited to:

  • Surface scratches
  • Minor marks
  • Scuffs
  • Creasing
  • Fading
  • Sole wear
  • Interior wear
  • Glue marks
  • Oxidation
  • Ageing of materials
  • Storage odours
  • Minor discolouration
  • Hardware wear
  • Stretching or softening of materials

These characteristics are considered normal for vintage and pre-owned items and are not regarded as defects.

Customers acknowledge that vintage items are purchased with an understanding that they may not present in brand-new condition.


WEARABILITY & LONGEVITY OF VINTAGE ITEMS

Savity Season cannot guarantee the future wearability, durability, lifespan, or structural integrity of any vintage, archival, or pre-owned item after delivery.

Certain materials naturally deteriorate with age, including but not limited to:

  • Adhesives
  • Rubber
  • Leather coating 
  • Patent finishes
  • Plastic components

  • Fabrics
  • Vintage embellishments

As a result:

  • Sole separation
  • Cracking

  • Drying of materials

  • Material breakdown

  • Hardware failure

  • Embellishment loss

may occur over time, regardless of the condition of the item at the point of sale.

By purchasing a vintage item, the customer accepts the inherent risks associated with aged fashion goods.

Savity Season shall not be liable for deterioration, breakage, or damage occurring after wear, storage, transportation, alteration, or use by the customer.


SIZING DISCLAIMER

Customers are solely responsible for determining whether an item will fit.

Sizing can vary significantly between brands, designers, eras, and countries.

Any size conversions provided are intended as guidance only.

Returns, exchanges, refunds, chargebacks, or claims will not be accepted due to:

  • Incorrect fit

  • Sizing expectations

  • Comfort preferences

  • Width concerns

  • Calf fit

  • Personal styling preferences

Customers are encouraged to request additional measurements before purchasing if uncertain.


COLOUR & PHOTOGRAPHY DISCLAIMER

Every effort is made to accurately represent colours and condition.

However, colours may vary due to:

  • Lighting conditions

  • Screen brightness

  • Device displays

  • Photography equipment

  • Editing variations

Minor differences in colour perception do not constitute grounds for return.


ELIGIBLE RETURN CLAIMS

A return request may only be considered where:

  1. The incorrect item was sent; or

  2. The item received is materially and significantly different from its description; or

Savity Season reserves sole discretion in determining whether an item has been materially misrepresented.


CLAIM PROCEDURE

Customers must notify Savity Season within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.

Claims submitted after this period may be rejected.

All claims must include:

  • Order number

  • Detailed explanation of the issue

  • Clear photographs

  • Video evidence where requested

  • Photographs of packaging

  • Photographs of shipping labels

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the claim being denied.

The item must remain unworn and in the same condition received until the claim has been reviewed.


NON-RETURNABLE CIRCUMSTANCES

Returns, refunds, exchanges, store credits, or compensation will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind

  • Buyer's remorse

  • Delayed deliveries

  • Customs delays

  • Import duties or taxes

  • Incorrect sizing

  • Personal preference

  • Minor wear visible in photographs

  • Minor wear disclosed in the description

  • Vintage ageing

  • Odours associated with vintage storage

  • Damage caused after delivery

  • Damage caused during wear

  • Damage caused by improper storage

  • Alterations or repairs made by the customer

  • Failure to read listing descriptions

  • Failure to review photographs

  • Items purchased during promotions or sales

  • Sourced, reserved, layaway, deposit, or pre-order purchases


AUTHENTICITY POLICY

All designer items are sold in good faith using available authentication methods, provenance, seller verification, sourcing records, and industry-standard due diligence.

Any authenticity concern must be raised directly with Savity Season before initiating:

  • Payment disputes

  • Chargebacks

  • Third-party claims

Savity Season reserves the right to request an independent authentication report from a recognised authentication service before reviewing any authenticity claim.

Authentication opinions obtained after purchase do not automatically entitle a customer to a refund.


CHARGEBACKS & PAYMENT DISPUTES

Customers agree to contact Savity Season directly before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute.

Fraudulent chargebacks, false claims, item-switching attempts, or abuse of buyer protection systems will be vigorously contested using:

  • Product photographs

  • Listing descriptions

  • Tracking records

  • Delivery confirmation

  • Customer communications

  • Fraud prevention records

Where appropriate, evidence may be submitted to payment processors, financial institutions, legal representatives, and relevant authorities.


RETURN SHIPPING

Where a return is approved, customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless Savity Season confirms that an error occurred on our behalf.

Returns must:

  • Be fully tracked

  • Be adequately insured

  • Be securely packaged

Savity Season accepts no responsibility for return parcels lost, stolen, damaged, or delayed in transit.


REFUNDS

Refunds will only be issued once:

  • The returned item has been received; and

  • The item has been inspected; and

  • The claim has been approved.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

Any fees incurred due to payment processing, customs, duties, or international transaction costs may be deducted where legally permitted.


REFUSED, ABANDONED OR UNCLAIMED PARCELS

If a customer refuses delivery, fails to collect a parcel, or declines to pay customs/import charges:

  • Original shipping costs remain non-refundable

  • Return shipping fees may be deducted

  • Customs charges may be deducted

  • Any unrecoverable parcels are not eligible for refunds


TRANSIT DAMAGE & SHIPPING LIABILITY

All orders are carefully packaged prior to dispatch.

Risk of loss or damage during transit remains with Savity Season until delivery has been completed to the shipping address provided by the customer.

If an item arrives damaged during transit, customers must notify Savity Season within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Clear photographs of the item

  • Photographs of all packaging materials

  • Photographs of the shipping box

  • Photographs of shipping labels

  • Any additional evidence requested

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the claim being denied.

Savity Season reserves the right to investigate all transit damage claims and may require customers to cooperate with any courier claim process.

Claims relating to transit damage submitted outside the required timeframe may not be accepted.

Savity Season is not responsible for shipping delays, missed delivery attempts, customs processing times, lost parcels marked as delivered by the courier, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, or parcels left in a location designated by the customer or courier.
